Guidance for Becoming a New FSESCI Instructor

The Florida Stormwater, Erosion, & Sedimentation Control Inspector (FSESCI) Training Program relies on quality instructors to deliver engaging training that provides erosion and sedimentation control professionals with the skills required to perform complex, multi-disciplinary inspections of construction sites of all sizes. Approved FSESCI instructors must demonstrate expertise in their fields and an ability to effectively communicate their skills, knowledge, and the FSESCI curriculum to a wide audience. They also must have attended the FSESCI training course, administered by an FDEP- approved instructor, and passed the inspector examination with a score of 85% or higher.

FDEP uses a two-step process to approve new instructors to teach and offer FSESCI curriculum and any associated Continuing Education Credits. If you are interested in getting approval to offer FSESCI classes to the general public, your organization, or your students, please begin by filling out the form below and uploading the required documents. The required documents and details of the approval process can be found in the link here.
